Housekeeping Services Assistant

About the role
The Housekeeping Services Assistant reports directly to the Housekeeping Services Manager. This position includes working every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
Schedule
10 days per pay period, 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and assure uncompromising levels of cleanliness in work areas, buildings, and grounds.
- Maintain an attractive and comfortable home environment consistent with regulations and established policies and procedures.
- Perform general cleaning, floor care, washing, sanitizing, and polishing of furniture and fixtures.
- Remove waste and stock supplies.
- Clean windows.
- Collect laundry from resident rooms and designated areas; sort, label, wash, dry, and distribute linens and resident personal clothing per assigned schedule.
- Iron articles as required.
- Inspect laundry and linen; inform supervisor of replacement needs.
- Communicate with residents and families as needed.
- Replenish housekeeping and laundry supplies in work areas.
- Clean and properly store equipment, tools, and supplies at the end of each shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Ability to take direction, prioritize duties, and organize work with others.
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
Pay
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $19.09 – $20.59 per hour. Actual pay depends on individual qualifications and market conditions.
