Housekeeping Room Attendant - Holiday Inn

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel and brand standards, including making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing towels and guest amenities.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts and ensure supplies, linens, and cleaning products are properly stocked and organized.
  • Remove trash and recyclables from guest rooms, hallways, and designated areas.
  • Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests and respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Report guest concerns or service issues to leadership to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Notify maintenance staff of any equipment issues, damage, or repair needs within guest rooms or public spaces.
  • Follow lost and found procedures and maintain guest privacy and security.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, suspicious activity, or potential hazards.
  • Use cleaning supplies and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all hotel safety policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Support additional housekeeping duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and strong commitment to guest service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with guests and coworkers.
  • Willingness to learn and consistently maintain hotel and brand standards.
  • Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
  • Physical requirements: frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday; able to lift and move up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
