Housekeeping Room Attendant - Experience Required

Hyatt Studios Jacksonville is now hiring Experienced Room Attendants to join our founding team as we prepare to open in April 2026. Weekend availability is required for these first-shift positions, generally starting at 9am.

About the role

Provides excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner while adhering to LBA standards of friendly hospitality and housekeeping guidelines. This position is responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms and the usage and organization of supplies.

Character traits of honesty and trustworthiness are essential, and potential associates must pass appropriate security clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Clean vacant dirty rooms to be guest-ready and return occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints per brand standard.
  • Maintain a crisp, clean, and professional appearance daily, adhering to grooming and uniform standards.
  • Follow all cleaning procedures outlined in housekeeping training and as specified on the training checklist.
  • Perform general clean procedures every 90 days.
  • Report any discrepancies or hazardous conditions to the immediate supervisor immediately.
  • Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition (e.g., associate breakroom, restrooms, public areas, stairwells, and back of the house).
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately.
  • Understand and follow emergency procedures and safety/security needs for guests and associates.
  • Use computer systems necessary for daily tasks, including Quore and Hotel Effectiveness.
  • Exercise discretion to maintain guest privacy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, provided the associate is capable.

Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
  • Ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel.
  • Ability to see, hear, and communicate professionally with guests and co-workers.
  • Ability to work alone without direct supervision and as a team member.
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining service-centric.
  • Knowledge of proper handling of linens, terry, and other supplies with sanitation and cost controls in mind.
  • Thorough knowledge of guestroom cleaning procedures, safety and security measures, and materials/supply/equipment used in housekeeping.
  • Ability to maintain designated minutes per room and follow cleaning procedures in a systematic fashion.

Skills

  • Professional communication with guests and co-workers via various methods, including messages and communication log books.
  • Ability to learn and use computer systems necessary for daily tasks.
  • Discretion to maintain guest privacy.

Pay

Starting pay rate is $15/hr, with the option to get paid daily through DailyPay.

Schedule

First shift positions available 7 days a week, generally starting at 9am. Weekend availability is required.

Working Conditions

  • Physical presence at the hotel is required; this position is not conducive to telecommuting or remote work.
  • Standing and walking for long periods while maintaining a friendly, professional image.
  • May be required to work any day/shift, including weekends.
