Housekeeping – Public Area Attendant

At Hotel Indigo Cleveland Gateway, the House Attendant role is central to delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position focuses on maintaining pristine public spaces and supporting room attendants to ensure every guest feels welcomed and comfortable. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to cleanliness and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
• Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness
• Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen
• Pick up clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry
• Deliver towels, cribs, cots, and other items to guest rooms upon request
• Perform duties of room attendant when necessary
• Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry
• Help room attendants with heavy lifting during super cleaning or spring cleaning of rooms
• Clean all public areas following department standard operating procedures
• Remove soiled linen and trash from all service areas and transport to appropriate locations
• Respond in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and team members

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience desirable
• Neat, pleasant personality
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces
• Ability to operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters
• Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs

Pay

$16.00 per hour
