Housekeeping, Part-time

About the role

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. This role plays a critical part in supporting resident well-being, infection prevention, and overall facility cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly
• Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris
• Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility
• Follow safety protocols, including the use of caution signage and proper chemical storage
• Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary
• Report resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
• Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented

Pay

$14–$15/hour

Schedule

• Part-time, 7 shifts per pay period
• Shift hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Schedule includes working two weekends and having one weekend off
