Responsibilities
As a Housekeeping & Laundry Aide, you will help create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents by maintaining the facility and providing quality laundry services. Responsibilities include:
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces according to established schedules and infection prevention guidelines.
- Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, linens, towels, and facility laundry.
- Operate laundry and housekeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment throughout the facility.
- Properly handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with facility policies and safety standards.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment issues promptly.
- Interact courteously and respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
- Follow all infection prevention, OSHA, and facility safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or laundry experience in a healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or similar setting preferred, but not required.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to cleanliness and resident satisfaction.
- Demonstrates compassion, professionalism, integrity, and respect when working with residents, families, and coworkers.
- Ability to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
