The Marriott Phoenix Chandler, located in Chandler, a Southeast suburb of Phoenix, is the newest Full Service Marriott in the state of Arizona. It features 264 Guest Rooms and over 21,000 sq ft of event space, boasting the largest Ballroom in Chandler, AZ. Proof ’19 offers handcrafted cocktails, local beers, and Southwest cuisine. The Starbucks Café serves a morning pick-me-up and a variety of breakfast options. The hotel features modern décor and is situated within the Price Road Corridor, near major employers.
Responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms (vacant, occupied, and check-out rooms) to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to Marriott brand standards.
- Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the hotel's quality and cleanliness expectations.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns promptly to the Engineering team and follow up as needed.
- Respond to and assist with special guest requests, including extra towels, pillows, blankets, and other amenities.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to Room Attendants and House Attendants to promote continuous improvement and maintain high-performance standards.
- Absorb and assist with room cleaning and other housekeeping duties when business demands require.
- Promote a positive, safe, and team-oriented work environment while delivering outstanding guest service.
Requirements
- At least six months of housekeeping inspection in a hotel of similar size and quality.
- Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) preferred.
- Working knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, quality standards, safety practices, and security policies.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness and maintenance concerns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and lead team members.
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with guests and fellow associates.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs as needed.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to move throughout all areas of the hotel while performing room inspections.
