Responsibilities
- Help ensure the housekeeping staff maintains the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and surrounding corridors.
- Assist in cleaning rooms when needed.
- Accommodate every guest’s reasonable needs and requests with a courteous and pleasant response to create a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
- Provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

- Complete all required training.
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests.
- Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate.
- Hold the housekeeping staff to the highest possible standard of room cleanliness, ensuring a room is guest-ready before being released to the front desk for sale.
- Clean guest rooms and public areas when needed.
- Report any deficiency and equipment malfunctions in rooms and public areas to the maintenance department.
- Assist in making beds neatly with fresh linens, pick up trash from the floor and vacuum, and empty trash from waste cans.
- Ensure rooms are up to brand standards, including clean mirrors, wiped shelves, doorframes and furniture, dusted windowsills and baseboards, and properly arranged furniture.
- Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of bathrooms; scrubbing basin, bathtub, toilet, and tile floor.
- Replenish appropriate supplies in rooms (glasses, stationery, soaps, shampoo, tissue, toilet paper, guest directories) and place clean towels on racks.
- Ensure clean hallway areas in front of rooms.
- Report to the Executive Housekeeper all rooms that are vacant and clean, and rooms that are occupied and clean.
- Report any discrepancies of furniture, equipment, and room condition.
- Be responsible for the security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets.
- Provide assistance when needed to fellow associates, guests, and other departments.
Requirements
- Keep confidential the business functions of the company, including financial status, customer/guest information, and employee issues.
- Be responsible for the safety and security of guests, fellow employees, and hotel assets.
- Have knowledge of the fire alarm system and evacuation procedures.
- Able to report to work for scheduled shifts.
- Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Be organized, honest, and work well with others.
- Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person.
- Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Have the highest degree of integrity and live by the Golden Rule.

- Able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch, and lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
- Able to work for 8 hours and in restrictive spaces/environments.
- Have eyesight enabling both near and far vision.
- Be comfortable using a step stool or ladder.
- Able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours.
- Have finger dexterity for operating equipment.
- Speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English.
