Purpose
The Inspector ensures standards are met by auditing guest rooms, public areas, and amenities for cleanliness and safety.
Overview
The Inspector verifies that rooms are properly prepared for arrivals, reports maintenance issues, monitors staff performance, and ensures compliance with brand standards to maintain a positive guest experience.
Essential Functions Of The Job
- Remain standing for up to 10 hours
- Move up and down stairs
- Move quickly based on guest needs
- Regularly move and lift up to 50 lbs
- Position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces
- Operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
- Communicate and exchange information effectively
- Read, write, speak, and understand basic English
- Complete a satisfactory background check
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires
Key Skills & Experience Required
- 1+ years of hotel housekeeping or inspection experience
- Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion
- Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality
Working Environment
Work will primarily take place in a resort environment including guest rooms and residences.
