About the role
As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will ensure 4-Diamond cleanliness standards are met in guest rooms and public areas while supporting the housekeeping team.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas.
- Assign special projects as directed by the Director of Housekeeping.
- Report any needed repairs or discrepancies in guest rooms.
- Ensure Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linens.
- Assist in cleaning guest rooms when necessary.
- Process AM and PM room status reports.
- Ensure Guest Room Attendants’ linen carts and guest room floor linen closets are neat, organized, and fully stocked.
- Maintain supply cage stock, keeping it neat and clean at all times.
- Log completed guest rooms via the phone system.
- Prioritize inspection of VIP and check-out/vacated rooms.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities and events.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
- Communicate professionally and positively with guests and associates.
- Report incidents of guest dissatisfaction or significant matters to management for corrective action.
- Comply with all hotel policies, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
- Write shift reports, including documentation of theft, accidents, or injuries.
- Check with manager/supervisor before leaving the work area.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain 4-Diamond level cleanliness standards.
- Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and push or pull a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Ability to communicate via radio and phone as needed.
- Experience working with management on special projects.
