About the role

Responsible for the care and cleaning of guest rooms and public areas to create a welcome and comfortable place for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Handles guest complaints concerning housekeeping service or refers problem to management
• Notifies maintenance of any needed repairs in all guest rooms and public space
• Inspects all vacant ready rooms at the beginning of the day for condition and possible occupancy
• Assists guests and employees willingly and pleasantly when called upon
• Lists and itemizes lost and found items; returns items to guests in accordance with hotel standards
• Reports and delivers valuables found to the General Manager’s office
• Inspects all rooms after cleaning to ensure hotel policies and standards are met
• Approves rooms for occupancy and ensures they are 100% ready prior to placing them into the system
• Updates the property management system with the proper status of all rooms
• Practices safe working conditions under OSHA guidelines, including Bloodborne Pathogens
• Maintains proper MSDS logs
• Provides safe chemical handling as prescribed in MSDS sheets
• Monitors time housekeepers take to clean guest rooms
• Completes any other duties as assigned to ensure all guests have an exceptional experience

Requirements

• Must be willing to work holidays and weekends
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
• Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance
• Physical stamina and mobility, including ability to reach, kneel, and bend with ability to lift, push, and pull
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
