Responsibilities

• Remove trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and remove trash and linen from cleaning carts and housekeeping closets
• Report any linen shortages or other discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor
• Maintain each storage and distribution area ensuring they are clean and organized
• Distribute linen and supplies to designated areas in the hotel in accordance with established par levels in each area
• Deliver miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and deliver linen and supplies to guest floors
• Make up and deliver roll-a-way beds and baby cribs
• Maintain cleanliness of guest corridors; sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures, clean elevators and tracks

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in housekeeping preferred
• Previous hotel experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Stand and exert well-placed mobility for up to 7 hours in length
• Push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
• Bend, squat and lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
• Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communication with guests, supervisors and other employees
• Manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment

Pay

The pay scale for Housekeeping Houseperson is $23.00. The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
