Housekeeping Floor Technician NIGHTS
About the Role
As an Environmental Services Floor Technician at St. Mark's Hospital, you will maintain assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean and sanitary condition by performing specialized cleaning tasks. You will be part of a unified, caring team dedicated to serving patients and team members while contributing to community betterment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty equipment and special cleaning tools such as low and high-speed buffers, carpet extractors, upholstery attachments, vacuums, and floor scrubbers.
- Demonstrate flexibility in assignments, including distribution and pickup of biohazard barrels, clean linen, soiled linen, and garbage as needed.
- Complete special cleaning and work projects as assigned.
- Participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
- Ensure customer quality expectations are met by providing courteous and caring service.
Requirements
- Previous Environmental Service experience and knowledge of cleaning supplies and tools preferred.
- Experience with floor care cleaning and maintenance preferred.
- Must be able to comprehend spoken English.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
