Floor Technician Nights

Responsibilities

• Adjusts to staff shortages and covers other assigned areas, as needed.
• Properly uses personal protective equipment.
• Analyzes carpeted and hard surface floors and applies correct maintenance procedures.
• Performs cleaning functions using the department approved process in all assigned areas.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Makes suggestions for improvement to the supervisor, documenting daily assignments completed.
• Maintains supplies and reports any equipment issues or shortages.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Able to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Able to communicate in English.
• Basic computer skills and to include the use of mouse and keyboard.
• Able to climb and work on a ladder.
• Knowledge of floor care maintenance process (preferred).
• Able to safely use all equipment related to the care of floor surfaces to include but not limited to commercial rotary machines, auto scrubbers, vacuums and floor burnishers.
• Demonstrates knowledge of environmental services equipment and chemicals used in the department.
• Ability to assess, correct, and maintain various floor surfaces (preferred).

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (preferred).
• 1+ floor tech experience (required).

Skills
