Responsibilities
- Adjusts to staff shortages and covers other assigned areas, as needed.
- Properly uses personal protective equipment.
- Analyzes carpeted and hard surface floors and applies correct maintenance procedures.
- Performs cleaning functions using the department approved process in all assigned areas.
- Maintains equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Makes suggestions for improvement to the supervisor, documenting daily assignments completed.
- Maintains supplies and reports any equipment issues or shortages.
Requirements
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Able to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Able to communicate in English.
- Basic computer skills and to include the use of mouse and keyboard.
- Able to climb and work on a ladder.
- Knowledge of floor care maintenance process (preferred).
- Able to safely use all equipment related to the care of floor surfaces to include but not limited to commercial rotary machines, auto scrubbers, vacuums and floor burnishers.
- Demonstrates knowledge of environmental services equipment and chemicals used in the department.
- Ability to assess, correct, and maintain various floor surfaces (preferred).
Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv (preferred).
- 1+ floor tech experience (required).
Skills
