Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona is seeking a Housekeeping EVS Associate to join its environmental services team. This position is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the hospital, including patient rooms and assigned areas, to ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Housekeepers play a vital role in supporting patient care and may be assigned to specialty areas such as the morgue or COVID‑19 units, working with cleaning chemicals to address blood and bodily fluids.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures.
• Plan the completion of cleaning tasks daily.
• Empty hampers and transport soiled linen.
• Empty trash containers and remove all trash.
• Empty all medical waste containers, including sharps.
• Inventory, restock, and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, and hand soap in all assigned areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment and notify appropriate personnel when repairs are needed.
• Protect equipment from damage by proper use; log equipment out and in after use.
• May perform special projects such as window washing, wall washing, or removing heavily soiled items/furnishings.
• Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff, and visitors.
• Meet or exceed goals for customer service satisfaction.
• Work under regular supervision with responsibility limited to an assigned facility/area.
• Interact with internal customers (facility staff, physicians, nurses, patients, visitors, supervisors, managers, executives) and external customers (visitors, patients, and employees from other company and non‑company facilities).
• Be prepared for new challenges and maintain effective communication with team members and medical staff.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
• Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally.
• Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals, and to fill out chemical identification stickers.
• Employees assigned to Banner Behavioral Health Hospital or the Whole Health Clinic must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at hire and maintain it for the duration of employment.
• Must pass
