Housekeeping/ Custodial Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising a team of housekeepers
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the building, including restrooms, selling floor, office spaces & other common areas
• Dusting the selling floor (both high and low)
• Maintaining the carpets and tile floors utilizing commercial grade equipment
• Sweeping, collecting trash and recycling material
• Picking up trash from registers & offices
• Dust mopping and wet mopping floors and vacuuming rugs
• Cleaning and sanitizing, restocking restroom supplies, emptying trash cans in restrooms
• Ensuring all procedures, policies, exposure standards, safety and shortage awareness are understood and practiced
• Leading housekeeping staff to provide an exceptional customer experience
• Coaching, motivating, and developing housekeeping team to increase productivity and efficiency
• Clearly communicating store and Company objectives to both management and staff
• Monitoring and addressing performance issues on a timely basis

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of housekeeping or janitorial experience; 1-2 years as lead, supervisor or manager preferred
• Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
• Moderate lifting (up to 35 lbs.), sit, stand, and walk for required periods of time
• Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers to handle objects and operate tools and/or controls
