About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Shelbyville Healthcare & Senior Living.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Manage housekeeping responsibilities to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Launder linens, towels, and other items as needed, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
• Conduct floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Provide responsive and friendly customer service, ensuring a positive experience for clients and guests.
• Follow safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment, prioritizing safety and minimizing risks.

Skills

• Experience in residential or commercial cleaning is preferred, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or with a team.
• Familiarity with housekeeping management practices is a plus, with excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods, with knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and sanitation practices.
• Experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services is helpful but not required, with a strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
