Housekeeping Assistant

About the Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Miller’s, you are responsible for the general cleanliness and sanitation of patient rooms and the overall building. You play a key role in patient and visitor safety, comfort, and satisfaction. You adhere to all State and Federal regulations and company policies regarding safety, infection control, and other applicable standards. You respond positively to a variety of requests from your supervisor, patients, their families, and staff, and interact with each positively. You are able to follow instructions and cleaning schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Follow written and/or verbal instructions and cleaning schedules.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and other applicable regulations and policies.
• Respond positively to requests from supervisors, patients, families, and staff.
• Ensure patient rooms and the overall building meet cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of cleanliness standards.
• Skills and abilities to perform a variety of housekeeping duties.
• Willingness to learn and follow required regulations and policies.
• Passion for delivering great customer service.
• Ability to work as part of a dedicated team.
• Professional and appropriate appearance, conversation, and behavior.
• Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening.
• Able to pass a physical examination for gainful employment within the facility.
• Satisfactorily pass required orientation and training.

Qualifications

EXPOSURE CATEGORY II: Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require unplanned Category I tasks.

Pay

$13-$16.25/hr

Schedule

Full Time, 6am-2:30pm
