Housekeeping Assistant

About the role

The Housekeeping Assistant maintains a clean and organized environment for guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are stocked and in good working condition
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
• Assist with laundry services as needed
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests and staff

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Physical and Sensory Requirements

• Moderate physical activity: push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet
• Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day
• Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time
• Assist with cleaning up spills and waste (including human)
• Repetitive gripping of trays, mops, vacuums, etc.
