About the role
West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to help create a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities
- Perform daily housekeeping duties throughout the facility.
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, elevators, and stairways.
- Dust, polish, and disinfect furniture, fixtures, mirrors, windows, walls, and ceilings.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax, buff, and disinfect floors.
- Shampoo, deodorize, and disinfect carpets as needed.
- Safely mix and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Follow all infection control, HIPAA, fire safety, and workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use safety equipment when lifting or moving heavy objects.
- Coordinate housekeeping services with nursing staff to meet resident needs.
- Report accidents, unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Turn in lost-and-found items to the appropriate supervisor.
- Attend required in-service education and training programs.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to accept feedback and learn new cleaning methods and procedures.
- Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and handle cleaning chemicals.
- Professional demeanor with respect for resident privacy and confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
- Previous housekeeping experience in a nursing home, rehabilitation center, hospital, or healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.

Schedule: Part-Time | Day Shift
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
