About the role
Perform daily housekeeping activities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to maintain the facility in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment as directed by the Administrator and/or Director of Housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily cleaning routines in residential rooms, hallways, dining areas, lobbies, sitting areas, and offices
- Buff and wax floors; vacuum and shampoo various types of carpeting
- Clean wheelchairs, med-carts, and other facility equipment
- Transport and deliver linens throughout the facility
- Follow assigned cleaning schedules as closely as possible
- Report all accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediately during the same shift
- Coordinate housekeeping services with nursing staff in resident living and recreational areas
- Perform resident room and discharge cleaning, including dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping, and scrubbing beds, walls, furniture, and fixtures
- Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies as needed
- Keep housekeeping carts stocked and organized
- Complete daily project and assignment schedules
Requirements
- Experience working in a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility preferred
- Flexibility with scheduling
