Housekeeper : Part-Time

Schedule

• Monday & Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
• Tuesday & Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
• Wednesday: 6:00am – 11:00am

Responsibilities

• Maintain all assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks as outlined on shift/daily/weekly/monthly schedules, including washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sweeping all areas of the facility.
• Clean and sanitize sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets according to prescribed sanitary standards.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles as directed.
• Clean and sanitize office and common areas, including public and private restrooms, nursing areas, and patient laundry areas.
• Maintain all flooring (tiled, carpeted, polished concrete, wood, etc.) according to facility cleaning schedules.
• Clean, sanitize, and handle linens according to organizational protocol, ensuring separation of dirty and clean linens.
• Distribute clean linens and paper goods according to the facility schedule.
• Restock cleaning and paper supplies following organizational guidelines.
• Follow safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals, appliances, and commercial housekeeping equipment.
• Remove trash, boxes, or other soiled materials to appropriate containers promptly to ensure safety and infection control.
• Inspect housekeeping equipment for safety before use and operate it according to manufacturer and facility directions.
• Maintain clean laundry, housekeeping, and storage rooms free from fire and other hazards.
• Observe and report any maintenance issues according to business manager guidelines.

Work Environment

• Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
• Able to stand for extended periods and walk, including up or down steps or stairs.
• Able to push, pull, bend, twist, raise arms overhead, kneel, squat, crawl, and turn head/neck/shoulders as needed.
• Able to reach, move, grasp, and handle items with one or both hands to operate standard housekeeping equipment.
• Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
