About the role
Villa Fairmont is a 97-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center licensed by Telecare Corporation. It serves adults with serious and persistent mental illness who have experienced repeated hospitalizations.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, strip, wash and shampoo floor surfaces.
- Clean and dust furniture, closets, telephone areas and vents.
- Courser, polish and sanitize sinks, counters, stainless steel surfaces and waste receptacles.
- Empty waste receptacles and clean solid waste containers and transport medical waste to outside storage room, as directed.
- Wash windows and walls, which may involve removing draperies and rugs, as directed.
- Wash mops, rags and linen, as directed.
- Gather and return needed cleaning supplies and equipment daily to support rooms.
- Distribute clean laundry from the clean linen closet to nursing staff.
- Collect dirty laundry from nursing areas and move it to the loading area for pickup.
Qualifications
- One (1) year of relevant experience in the hotel, motel, health care or a similar work environment is required.
- Experience in a health care setting is preferred.
- High school graduation or a GED equivalent is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to follow written and verbal directions.
- Good communication skills and a desire to work with mentally impaired adults are crucial.

- Demonstrates a knowledge of Telecare’s customers including clients, families and governmental agencies in all interactions and conduct.
- Acts in a professional manner, always demonstrating respect and understanding of the community and neighborhood when representing Telecare in the community.
- Completes and follows through with tasks and assignments, meeting expected deadlines.
- Understands and demonstrates knowledge of all policies associated with attendance.
- Attends all assigned in-service education programs.
- Requests additional training in areas where self-improvement is desired.
