Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to all residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors of residents in the community
• Clean all rooms assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Ensure all bathrooms are cleaned completely, including toilet bowl, sinks, bathtubs/showers; countertops, mirrors and sterilization of the floor
• Ensure clean kitchen areas, including counters, under counters, mopping the kitchen floor
• Auxiliary cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming all exposed areas, washing inside of windows when necessary
• Clean all common areas, including but not limited to: halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, show kitchens, lobbies, elevators, offices and model apartments
• Clean vacant apartments as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Ensure cleanliness of public restrooms
• Properly use and maintain housekeeping and laundry carts at all times
• Wash and dry all laundry, including resident’s personal laundry using appropriate products and following resident instructions in cooperation with Laundry Attendant as may be applicable
• Follow emergency procedures when chemicals are accidently misused
• Understand the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste
• Maintain a clean laundry room and store chemicals in accordance with proper procedures
• Deliver clean linens to floors and residences as directed
• Assist in garbage removal and snow removal as directed
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification

High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience with and passion for working with seniors preferred
