About the Role

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff includes full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by residents, interns, fellows, and other medical professionals.

Barnes-Jewish Extended Care is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility located at 401 Corporate Park Drive in Clayton, Missouri. It provides care ranging from minimal assistance to subacute post-hospital recovery for patients of all ages, including post-trauma rehabilitation, hospice, and respite care. The Housekeeping Department ensures a clean and safe environment for patients and residents.

Responsibilities

• Performs discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepares room for next admission.
• Performs routine cleaning activities in inpatient, public, and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning processes.
• Assumes supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor.
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure and reports defects to supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Associate's Degree (preferred).
• 2-5 years of experience (preferred).
• No prior supervisor experience required, but ability to assume supervisor responsibilities in their absence is necessary.
