Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant - PT

About the role

Givens Estates, a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeper to support our Environmental Services team in our Givens Estates Health Center. The primary purpose of this position is to provide housekeeping services to residents and employees, maintain the appearance of the campus, and ensure the highest degree of quality care for our residents.

The schedule for this position is 7:00am - 3:30pm, working every other weekend and every other holiday. The remainder of shifts can be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high levels of facility cleanliness and appearance by ensuring residences, common areas, and administrative areas are kept clean and well-maintained. Tasks include bed making, cleaning floors, furniture, draperies, blinds, window sills, trash cans, toilets, sinks, mirrors, etc.
• Perform laundry procedures for daily operation, such as operating washers, dryers, pick-up, and deliveries.
• Respond to emergency cleaning situations.
• Collaborate with the Environmental Services team and contribute ideas and goals.
• Build rapport and trust with residents and fellow team members.
• Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by an authorized supervisor as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.

Pay

$18.25 - $19.25 per hour based on background and experience.
