About the role
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeper Laundry Aide to join our Housekeeping & Laundry Team.
Responsibilities
- Follow daily housekeeping and cleaning schedules
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and facility equipment
- Sweep, mop, dust, strip, wax, and buff floors as needed
- Clean fixtures, ledges, heating/cooling units, and other surfaces
- Collect and dispose of trash properly
- Coordinate housekeeping duties with nursing staff when working in resident areas
- Follow safety procedures when using cleaning products and equipment
- Mix cleaning solutions and disinfectants according to instructions
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain resident confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Team-oriented with a positive and respectful attitude
- Willingness to work with residents compassionately and professionally
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the facility during the workday
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to handle the physical and emotional demands of the position
