About the role
Villa Fairmont MHRC is a 96-bed licensed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center serving adults aged 18-65. The Housekeeper position involves performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the facility clean, orderly, and safe.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, strip, wash, and shampoo floor surfaces.
- Clean and dust furniture, closets, telephone areas, and vents.
- Cour, polish, and sanitize sinks, counters, stainless steel surfaces, and waste receptacles.
- Empty waste receptacles and clean solid waste containers and transport medical waste to outside storage room.
- Wash windows and walls, which may involve removing draperies and rugs.
- Wash mops, rags, and linen daily.
- Distribute clean laundry from the linen closet to nursing staff.
- Collect dirty laundry from nursing areas and move it to the loading area for pickup.
Qualifications
- One (1) year of relevant experience in hotel, motel, healthcare, or similar environments.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to work with mentally impaired adults.
- Finger printing, clear background check, and no criminal convictions required.

Supervisor
The Housekeeper reports to the Director of Environmental Services, Maintenance Technician, or Relief Supervisor.
Benefits
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and is subject to union membership requirements upon hire. Pay range is based on geographic location and commensurate with relevant experience.
Pay
The expected starting wage is $21.78 per hour. Pay range details are available upon request.
Schedule
Shifts available: Full-Time, Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
