Housekeeper, Full Time, 1st Shift

About the role

The Housekeeper cleans and services all areas of the hospital and all buildings owned by the hospital, arranges furniture in an organized and orderly fashion, and keeps all equipment and storage areas clean and organized. This role has no access to patient health information but may have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Schedule

1st shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week, every weekend.

Responsibilities

• Clean blood and body fluids.
• Clean furniture, windows, restrooms, walls, and dust mop and damp mop hard surface floors.
• Replenish all paper supplies and waste can liners.
• Handle hazardous chemicals correctly.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral directions.
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential (on-the-job training provided).
• Knowledge of how to use cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaner).

Physical Requirements

• Possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for the position, including standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
