Housekeeper / Attendant

Location: Lake Placid Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. This job posting will close 12:00pm MT on 9/21/2026.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the cleanliness and order in all areas of assigned guest/dorm rooms, housing areas, meeting rooms, office, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities according to department standards.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Strips and remakes beds.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Removes soiled linen to designated areas.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Makes linen counts.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Sweeps and mops floors.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Vacuums, shampoos and extracts rugs.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Removes trash and recyclables to designated areas.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Washes windows, mirrors and walls.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Changes light bulbs.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Dusts furniture, lamps and horizontal surfaces.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Cleans bathrooms.
• Guest/Dorm Rooms: Replaces towels, soap, glasses, toilet tissue, and other supplies.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Sweeps and mops floors.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Vacuums.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Shampoos and extracts rugs.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Removes trash and recyclables to designated areas.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Washes trash cans and racks as needed.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Washes windows, mirrors and walls.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Changes light bulbs.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Dusts furniture, lamps and horizontal surfaces.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Cleans restrooms, janitor closets, laundry rooms, lounges, stairs, foyers, landings and storage areas.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Replaces soap, toilet tissue, paper towels.
• Housing areas, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, work rooms, common areas and/or recreation facilities: Moves furniture and equipment for cleaning purposes or relocation to another area, as required.
• Laundry: Operates commercial laundry equipment.
• Laundry: Launders linens, pads, blankets, bedspreads and curtains as required.
• Laundry: Performs ironing and sewing when needed.
• Laundry: Changes solution chemical products for laundry machines.
• Laundry: Cleans lint compartment in dryers and reports equipment breakdowns to Maintenance team.
• Lighting: Changes light bulbs and fluorescent fixture as required.
• Lighting: Sets up, arranges, and takes down furniture and equipment for all meeting and conference rooms adhering to fire and safety codes.
• Lighting: Performs general maintenance tasks.
• Lighting: Performs snow removal as required.
• Lighting: Makes proper decisions under varying situations, making necessary notifications according to set procedures.
• Lighting: Performs required record keeping neatly, accurately and on time.
• Lighting: Identifies and promptly reports safety hazards and building and equipment maintenance requirements according to established procedures.
