About the role

The EVS performs various duties related to cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining Western Missouri Medical Center buildings and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Customer service with all levels of patients and hospital staff.
• Cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, facilities, office areas, off-site clinics, and other areas as directed.
• Using and maintaining floor equipment.
• Ensuring supplies are stocked and readily available.
• Removing trash from designated areas and disposing of it properly.
• Removing dirty linens and storing them in appropriate locations, replacing as needed.
• Fulfilling biohazard procedures and ensuring compliance with relevant governmental agencies.
• Maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Self-motivated and capable of working within established hospital/clinic policies, procedures, and practices.

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Must be able to sit and stand for 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard.
• Work under pressure for near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines.
• Utilize manual/bi-manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing.
• Frequently stand, walk, sit, and utilize eye/hand coordination and color definition.
• Occasionally reach above shoulder, regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.
• Occasionally walk on uneven surfaces.
