About the role

The Groundskeeper maintains the grounds and common areas of the property to ensure a clean, debris-free, safe, and positive "curb appeal." Within limits, you will assist the maintenance staff in preparing apartments and completing service requests.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good relations with residents, vendors, prospective residents, and co-workers.
• Maintain the exterior appearance of the community to Village Green curb appeal standards, portraying a positive image to prospective and current residents. This includes:
  • Walking the entire property daily to remove trash, snow and ice (where applicable), debris, and abandoned property.
  • Sweeping compactor, recycle, and dumpster areas.
  • Maintaining mailbox areas, sidewalks, gutters, fencing, common lighting, pools, parking lots, breezeways, and all common areas in a neat, safe, and clean manner.
  • Emptying trash cans and returning rocks to rock beds.
  • Weeding and watering flower beds and pots as necessary.
• Maintain and operate various types of equipment, such as leaf blowers, pressure washers, handsaws, and pruners.
• Perform all reasonable duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor/Manager, Assistant Property Manager, or Area Director.
