Housekeeper

About the role

The MF-Housekeeper plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of multifamily residential properties within the real estate and rental industry. This position ensures that all common areas, hallways, lobbies, and shared facilities are kept in pristine condition to provide a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of common areas including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, and community spaces to ensure they meet established cleanliness standards.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with property guidelines and environmental regulations.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure a coordinated approach to property upkeep.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages observed during cleaning rounds to the property management team promptly.
• Auxiliary in seasonal deep cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial services, preferably in a multifamily residential or commercial setting.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the real estate, rental, or property management industry.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to cleaning and maintenance.
• Certification in cleaning or janitorial services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and property management staff.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or holidays as needed.
