Housekeeper

About the Role

The Retreat at Loganville is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join their team. This position requires working every third weekend.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with every third weekend required.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed cleaning worksheet/checklist for each room and common area.
• Set up and mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Clean community common areas and resident rooms by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming floors and walls.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpets.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment, including moving furniture as needed.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Make adjustments to heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including changing filters.
• Gather and empty trash, and remove debris from outdoor porches, parking lots, and dumpster areas.
• Ensure all bathrooms (common area and resident) are stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and liquid soap.
• Replace light bulbs throughout the community.
• Ensure all suites housing two residents are cleaned twice a week.
• Notify supervisor of major repairs or additions needed by documenting in the maintenance log and housekeeping checklist.
• Restock common area bistros and bathrooms with appropriate paper products and hand soap.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of job-related experience.

• Understands and embraces the assisted living philosophy.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours to meet peak service delivery times.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
