Housekeeper

About the Role

We are seeking part-time Housekeepers to join our team at The Retreat at Jasper. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout our community, including resident rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.

Schedule

Shift: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (part-time)

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed cleaning worksheets/checklists for each room and common area
• Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents according to specifications
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment safely to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Clean floors, walls, carpets, and furniture by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and steam cleaning
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment, including moving furniture as needed
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and tools
• Adjust heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including changing filters
• Gather and empty trash, and remove debris from outdoor porches, parking lots, and dumpster areas
• Restock bathrooms (common area and resident rooms) with toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and liquid soap
• Replace light bulbs throughout the community
• Ensure suites housing two residents are cleaned twice weekly
• Document and notify supervisors of major repairs or additions needed via maintenance logs and checklists

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• One (1) year of job-related experience
• Understanding of infection control procedures
• Ability to multitask and manage stress
• Commitment to the assisted living philosophy
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and peak service delivery times
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
