Red River Youth Academy is a psychiatric residential treatment facility dedicated to serving boys and girls facing serious emotional and behavioral disorders. Our mission is to instill hope, promote second chances, and facilitate new beginnings for our clients.

About the role

Red River Youth Academy is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and readiness throughout the facility. This role is essential to creating a safe and welcoming environment for our staff and youth. All interactions must be appropriate and considerate of the populations served.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical training required
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred
• CPI and CPR certification required
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work weekends and holidays
• Basic understanding of health care standards and regulations
• Ability to maintain self-control in volatile situations

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Frequent walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, and lifting
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme temperatures
• May encounter loud noise, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, dust, and poor ventilation
• Requires repetitive hand and wrist movements and ability to communicate clearly
