Housekeeper

About the role

The position is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the housekeeping department are maintained, including patient areas, common areas, cleaning equipment, floor surfaces, office spaces, and more.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of patient areas
• Clean common areas
• Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment
• Maintain floor surfaces, including stripping and waxing floors, carpet cleaning
• Clean office spaces
• Empty and dispose of trash and confidential information as trained
• Remove and dispose of bio-hazardous material as trained
• Clean windows, dust, clean restrooms, elevators, stairwells
• Use cleaning chemicals properly
• Stock clean linen
• Follow and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Follow instructions given by shift leader, Supervisor or department manager

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree preferred

• Knowledge of hospital cleaning protocol
• Ability to work in a physically demanding job
• Ability to follow instructions
