Housekeeper

About the role

At FutureCare, our Housekeepers ensure the facility and resident areas are kept clean and sanitized, meeting all standards set by the Environmental Services department. They perform daily rounds to provide a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned areas daily, following sanitary procedures and instructions.
• Promptly report all maintenance issues or concerns at the time of observation.
• Strongly adhere to all safety and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditions.
• Maintain facility equipment, carts, and work areas in a clean and organized state.
• Perform inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the assigned manager of any needs.
• Follow regulations from all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a skilled nursing facility environment.
• Prior experience with commercial cleaning agents/chemicals is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
• Polite and courteous demeanor toward residents and staff members.
• Ability to multi-task and work flexible shifts is highly desirable.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, bending, stooping, walking, and lifting at least 50 pounds.

Pay

Competitive pay range: $15.70 - $17.50 per hour. The salary reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives may be offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule.
