Housekeeper

About the role

Village Health Care in Gresham, Oregon is seeking a Housekeeper to perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain resident’s rooms and common areas of the community. You will ensure cleaning schedules are followed, coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services, and adhere to sanitary and safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow and complete cleaning schedules
• Observe proper infection control standards
• Perform janitorial tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness
• Maintain equipment used in performing duties
• Observe precautions required to protect resident property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Education or experience sufficient to meet position requirements or as required by State regulations
• Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations

Skills

• Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees
• Compassion and special interest in working with the senior population
