Housekeeper

7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures; remove water marks.
• Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.
• Clean floors by sweeping, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting in accordance with proper safety precautions.
• Clean carpets by vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
• Ensure work and assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored before breaks, meal times, and at the end of the workday.
• Maintain established infection control and standard precaution practices when performing housekeeping procedures.
• Perform complete cleaning procedures, as instructed, when a resident is discharged or transferred to another room.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping and the Administrator.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
