Housekeeping
The Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas in accordance with facility standards, infection control policies, and safety regulations.
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
- Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
- Follow proper infection control and isolation cleaning procedures.
- Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions as directed.
- Report needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
- Maintain housekeeping cart and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
- Provide respectful and courteous service to residents and staff.
Requirements
Demonstrates Professionalism.
Adhere to predetermined work dates and times.
Regular scheduled attendance is required.
Complete assignments in a timely manner as assigned.
Work cooperatively with all departments.
Consistently professional in appearance.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare is preferred, especially in a similar setting.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of equipment.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A positive attitude and commitment to resident satisfaction.
