Housekeeping Overview

Spearfish Canyon Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join their team. The facility offers a range of care options including short-term and long-term care, along with various living arrangements and professional clinical services.

Housekeeping Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, hallways, offices, family rooms, nurse's stations, patios, main lobbies, treatment rooms, laundry rooms, storage areas, employee break areas, physical therapy rooms, activity rooms, libraries, stairs, elevators, and entrances according to sanitation procedures, safety precautions, infection control, and universal precautions.
• Perform terminal cleaning procedures.
• Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to supervisors.
• Report all accidents immediately.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and ensure areas are kept clean and in good condition.
• Inspect resident rooms for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

• Complete orientation and mandatory drug test upon hire.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Show satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment within three days of hire.
• Have at least one year of experience as a Housekeeper or a similar role.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.
