Housekeeper

Avista Senior Living in Mesa, AZ is seeking compassionate and thoughtful Housekeepers to join our team on weekday shifts. Our small team environment combines the care of a close-knit group with the resources and benefits of a large enterprise.

About the role

The Housekeeper ensures all community areas are kept clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly according to established procedures, maintaining the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation at all times.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in residents’ rooms and the community’s living/recreational areas.
• Cleans, washes, sanitizes, and/or polishes bathroom fixtures, removing all water marks.
• Cleans floors by sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting; ensures CAUTION/SAFETY signs are properly set up before performing duties.
• Cleans carpets by vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting as instructed.
• Cleans walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
• Removes dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
• Cleans hallways as necessary or instructed.
• Disposes of waste/trash into proper containers and re-lines trash receptacles with plastic liners.

Requirements

• Experience in housekeeping in a healthcare setting is a plus.
• Experience in customer service is highly desired.
• Upbeat and positive team-player attitude.
• Strong judgment and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Compassion for residents, eagerness to learn, and a friendly demeanor.
