About the role

The Housekeeper is responsible for daily cleaning of the apartment community’s public facilities, common areas, and grounds. This role also handles the cleaning make-ready process for units prior to move-in, under the supervision of the Community Manager.

Responsibilities

• Regular/daily onsite attendance
• General cleaning and trash removal of grounds, residential areas, make-ready units, and common areas
• Cleaning and preparing vacant units for move-in
• Daily cleaning and upkeep of community offices, amenities, and other shared spaces
• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders for common areas, buildings, and units in a timely manner
• Understand and follow Asset key policy
• Report observed violations of community rules and regulations to the Community Manager
• Utilize property resources, equipment, and supplies economically
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Community Manager
• Manage excellent customer service and monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness
• Project a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition
• Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters
• Enforce policies of the community as delegated by the immediate supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or one year’s experience in the housing industry
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required
• Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements

Physical Requirements

• Regularly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, step stools, and similar structures
• Move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces
• Remain in a stationary position (standing or sitting) for prolonged periods
• Communicate with others to exchange information
• Repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Frequently lift and place objects up to 25 lbs.
• Work overtime, weekends, and night hours (emergencies)
• Be exposed to hazardous chemicals
• Occasionally work in an overhead position and reach, adjust, or move objects up to 25 lbs.
• Operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, and/or golf carts
• Assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned
• Identify and inspect objects
• Work in extremely low or high temperatures
• Work in outdoor environments such as precipitation and wind
• Work in small and/or enclosed spaces
• Traverse flat and non-flat terrain

Pay

Salary Range: $17 per hour to $19 per hour
