Housekeeper

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Part-time Housekeeper to join our team at Accela Rehab and Care Center at Somerton in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces
• Follow daily housekeeping schedules and procedures to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned
• Dispose of trash and recyclables properly
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate staff
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines to ensure a hygienic and safe environment

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting (not required but a plus)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
• Good communication and time management skills
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items as needed
