Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining an approved level of cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the areas assigned within the nursing home.

Responsibilities

• Perform the day‑to‑day activities of the Housekeeping department.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety throughout designated areas.
• Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition.
• Follow instructions from the Director of Housekeeping Services to keep the facility safe.
• Remove trash and used linens.
• Lift up to forty (40) pounds as needed.
• Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner.
• Properly store equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Report any broken equipment to a supervisor.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a hotel, hospital, or nursing home housekeeping setting.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain safety standards.
