The Role

The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care. Aligned with Nursing Leadership, the Charge Nurse provides leadership by working in collaboration with medical, ancillary, and support staff in maintaining standards of nursing practice in the clinical setting. The Charge Nurse serves as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for the staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of nursing care aligned with Nursing Leadership
• Maintain standards of nursing practice in the clinical setting
• Provide leadership by working in collaboration with medical, ancillary, and support staff
• Serve as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for the staff

Requirements

• RN License in the state you are applying
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment
• ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU

Qualifications

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required

Skills

• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments is preferred but not required
• A higher comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines, etc. is preferred but not required
• Two years of experience in direct patient care is preferred but not required

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly Rate Range- $49-65 with charge/night shift differentials
• Earn up to an additional $2/hr with weekend differentials!
