House Supervisor - Registered Nurse (RN) - FT Days | Voyages Conroe

About the role

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the House Supervisor ensures coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental-health practice, hospital policy, goals, and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational efforts, and Performance Improvement initiatives while providing support to the nursing staff on all units. The House Supervisor may work a shift on a specific unit when all other efforts to fill the shift with other personnel have been exhausted. The role also contributes to department meetings, quality initiatives, and maintains services within The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care in line with established standards.
• Support nursing staff across all units and assist in hospital objectives and educational efforts.
• Fill shifts on specific units when necessary.
• Contribute to department meetings and quality initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards.
• Two or more years of behavioral health experience.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
