Description Job Overview: The Hotel House Attendant performs an array of tasks that make guests feel welcome and important, most notably by maintaining clean corridors, delivering guest request items and restocking supplies/equipment. Duties And Responsibilities Projects a positive imageGreets all guests passing in corridorsDelivers guests’ requested itemsVacuums corridors daily, spotting carpets as necessaryRe-stocks supplies in housekeeping storage closetsAdministers dirty and clean linen and terry itemsLoads glassware into washers as neededTransports trash from room attendant’s cartsRecovers lost-and-found itemsKeeps corridors and stairwells free from dust and debrisDisseminates information to guests regarding the property, hotel, promotions, etc.Reports maintenance issuesPerforms routine maintenance on vacuum cleanerKeeps storage areas and carts clean and orderlyWorks safe by observing safety rules and wearing proper equipmentOther duties & responsibilities as assigned Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying) High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employmentMust be nineteen (19) years of age or older- requiredGood verbal communication skills required (skills test will be administered)- requiredMust be able to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) lbsAbility to work in areas containing dust or on high floor; occasionally kneels, climbs and crawls to work in difficult positionsMust successfully pass job interview, including a guest service auditionMust be able to stand and walk for entire shiftMust be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environmentMust be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.Must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness testWilling and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidaysWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position Base Pay Compensation:$15.00 – $20.63 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills.Benefits:Eligible full-time employees may choose from a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
