Part-time hourly teaching position, 17 hours per week (Tuesday–Friday). Start date: August 18, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and administers elementary school curriculum consistent with district goals and objectives.
  • Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small-group instruction, and student learning.
  • Creates lesson plans and instructional materials; translates plans into learning experiences to best utilize available instructional time.
  • Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods to fit individual needs, including students with special needs; provides individual and small-group instruction as needed.
  • Instructs students in responsible citizenship and other subjects specified by applicable laws and district regulations.
  • Stays current with developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, professional meetings, or conducting research.
  • Organizes and maintains accurate records for student activities, achievement, attendance, grading, and reporting as required by district procedures and laws.
  • Encourages parental involvement in students’ education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
  • Ensures student conduct aligns with school standards and district policies; maintains behavior standards for a functional learning atmosphere.
  • Coordinates with other elementary staff, especially within grade level, to evaluate and assess curriculum; participates in faculty meetings and committees.
  • Selects and requisitions books, instructional aids, supplies, and equipment; maintains inventory records.
  • Supervises students during out-of-classroom activities, including those involving school transportation.
  • Administers standardized tests in accordance with district testing programs.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of current teaching methods, educational pedagogy, and differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
  • Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.
  • Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis, and action-plan formulation.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state education laws.
  • Ability to use computer network systems and software applications.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Schedule

  • 17 hours per week.
  • Tuesday–Friday.
